Dowling Catholic baseball players Jon Musser
(senior), Spencer Navin (senior), and Jason
McMurray (junior) recently participated in an
Area Code Games run through the Chicago
White Sox organization.

Senior Jon Musser (RHP) recently signed a letter of intent to the
Big 12 member, University of Nebraska, and senior catcher
Spencer Navin has signed with Vanderbilt University of the SEC
Conference.
Musser was 7-2 with a 1.04 ERA with 66 K in 61 IP. Navin
batted .361 with 13 HR and 36 RBI while collecting 36 assists
behind the plate for the Maroons. Congratulations to both!

| George Cordaro Field Improvements |
George Cordaro Field has undergone some major renovations this fall. Iowa
Sports Turf Management, spearheaded by Chris Schlosser (head groundscrew
member of the Iowa Cubs), performed the work on field.
Improvements included scraping, re-grading, laser leveling, and re-sodding the
entire infield; rebuilding the mound and bullpens; widening the baselines and
runways; and aerating and over seeding where needed. Special thanks to the
Dowling Catholic Athletic Department for their support, and Brad Hammer and
Iowa Sports Turf Management for doing such tremendous work on our facilities!
